Are you struggling with enjoying your time as a SAHM (Stay-At-Home Mom)? Do you feel misunderstood when you express that you're tired? Are you questioning who you are beyond being a mom?

Hey sis, I'm Dorcas — a married, longtime stay-at-home mom who understands the work, the pressure, the loneliness of being a full-time mom.

Many days, I prayed through exhaustion and overstimulation, and silently fell apart while telling everyone I was okay.

I finally realized that the only way to find freedom was to return to the peace and confidence that came from drawing closer to Jesus.

I discovered how to live with ease and enjoy motherhood, which genuinely aligned with my life.

If you're a mom who wants her daily life aligned with Jesus leaving the loneliness, the pressure, and the overwhelm behind…

Build a simple rhythm that nurtures your relationship with Christ and get clear, practical guidance that truly transforms you from the inside out...

Well, sister, this podcast is for you!

Welcome Sis

This podcast is for Christian stay-at-home moms who feel isolated, drained, and undervalued, to find validation, kingdom encouragement, and reassurance so they can rediscover their identity, be connected to a meaningful community that builds confidence and peace, and receive reassurance.

I’ve been the SAHM(stay at home mom), making emotional decisions out of exhaustion, questioning my worth, and trying to keep everything running while feeling unseen and isolated. I learned the hard way that willpower wasn’t the problem—my systems were missing. Through missteps, lots of prayer, and practical learning, I discovered that peace doesn’t come from doing more—it comes from having simple, realistic systems that supported my tired mind and real-life situations. That shift changed not just my confidence but also my clarity and how I showed up for my family.

This episode is for the SAHM who sees another mom thriving — and immediately starts wondering what's wrong with herself.
The comparison trap is one of the sneakiest lies of SAHM life. And it is robbing you of a security that is already yours.
Today we're talking about what's actually happening when you compare, why it hits stay-at-home moms so hard, and 3 things secure moms know that nobody is talking about — so you can start living from that place too.
Including the biblical reassurance that finally helped me stop measuring my inside against everyone else's outside.
If you searched "SAHM comparison" or "why do I feel like I'm not enough as a mom" — you're in exactly the right place.

Why do I feel so overwhelmed by noise, touch, and constant demands?
Am I actually too sensitive… or just overstimulated?
Why does everything feel so loud and emotionally heavy sometimes?
Why do I react faster than I want to when I'm overwhelmed?
What does my nervous system actually need when everything feels like too much?
In this episode, we're unpacking the difference between being "too sensitive" and being overstimulated. If you've ever felt emotionally flooded by noise, constant needs, touch, interruptions, or mental overload, this conversation will help you understand what's really happening underneath those reactions. We talk about how overstimulation impacts your nervous system, why so many moms silently struggle with it, and how self-judgment often makes the overwhelm even heavier. You'll also learn three practical ways to begin supporting yourself differently by recognizing the signs of overstimulation early, reducing input before reacting, and replacing shame with understanding. This episode is your reminder that needing space, quiet, or emotional relief does not make you weak—it makes you human.
