Called to This Season | SAHM, Lonely, Overstimulated, Reassurance, Biblical Encouragement
Are you struggling with enjoying your time as a SAHM (Stay-At-Home Mom)? Do you feel misunderstood when you express that you're tired? Are you questioning who you are beyond being a mom?
Hey sis, I'm Dorcas — a married, longtime stay-at-home mom who understands the work, the pressure, the loneliness of being a full-time mom.
Many days, I prayed through exhaustion and overstimulation, and silently fell apart while telling everyone I was okay.
I finally realized that the only way to find freedom was to return to the peace and confidence that came from drawing closer to Jesus.
I discovered how to live with ease and enjoy motherhood, which genuinely aligned with my life.
If you're a mom who wants her daily life aligned with Jesus leaving the loneliness, the pressure, and the overwhelm behind…
Build a simple rhythm that nurtures your relationship with Christ and get clear, practical guidance that truly transforms you from the inside out...
Well, sister, this podcast is for you!

Welcome Sis
This podcast is for Christian stay-at-home moms who feel isolated, drained, and undervalued, to find validation, kingdom encouragement, and reassurance so they can rediscover their identity, be connected to a meaningful community that builds confidence and peace, and receive reassurance.
I’ve been the SAHM(stay at home mom), making emotional decisions out of exhaustion, questioning my worth, and trying to keep everything running while feeling unseen and isolated. I learned the hard way that willpower wasn’t the problem—my systems were missing. Through missteps, lots of prayer, and practical learning, I discovered that peace doesn’t come from doing more—it comes from having simple, realistic systems that supported my tired mind and real-life situations. That shift changed not just my confidence but also my clarity and how I showed up for my family.

Why do I feel so far from myself in a life I chose?
Is it normal to feel this disconnected even when nothing is technically wrong?
Will I ever feel like myself again, or has this season changed me in a way I can't come back from?
This episode is for the SAHM who passed a mirror today and barely recognized the woman looking back.
Feeling disconnected in the SAHM season is one of the most common and least talked about experiences in motherhood. It has a name. It is documented. And it does not mean you are lost.
Today we are talking about what disconnection actually is, where it comes from, and 5 things you can do to start finding your way back to yourself — including the research on matrescence that finally gave me language for something I had been carrying for years.
You are not disappearing. You are becoming.
